Who we are

Desert Acacia LLC (“Desert Acacia,” “we,” “us”) is a software studio based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website (desertacacia.com) and when you use Optimize Courier, our mobile application for delivery drivers.

Scope

Optimize Courier is a workforce tool. Driver accounts are provisioned by the logistics company you work with — there is no self-service sign-up — and delivery data collected through the app is processed on behalf of that company so it can run its delivery operations. This policy covers what the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

On the website: if you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your name, email address, and message). The website does not require an account and does not use advertising trackers.

In the Optimize Courier app:

  • Account and profile information — your name, email address, phone number, timezone, and optional profile photo, associated with the driver account your company provisioned.
  • Precise location — collected while you have an active route, including in the background, to show route progress and give your company visibility into deliveries. Location is attached to delivery completions and status updates.
  • Photos and signatures — proof-of-delivery photos you capture, evidence photos for failed deliveries, and recipient signatures collected with the in-app signature pad.
  • Support messages — the contents of support tickets and chat messages you send through the in-app support system.
  • Identifiers and device data — your user ID, device identifiers, and push-notification tokens, used to operate your account and deliver notifications.

How we use information

We use this information solely to operate the app and the delivery workflows it supports: assigning and tracking routes, recording deliveries and proof of delivery, sending push notifications about routes and orders, providing in-app support, and keeping the service secure and reliable.

We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How information is shared

  • With your logistics company — delivery data (routes, delivery status, proof-of-delivery photos and signatures, location during active routes, and support requests routed to your dispatcher) is shared with the company that provisioned your account. It is their delivery operation; the app is how you participate in it.
  • With service providers — we use infrastructure providers to run the service (cloud hosting and storage, and push notification delivery). They process data on our instructions and only as needed to provide the service.
  • For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Desert Acacia, our clients, or others.

Retention and deletion

Account and delivery records are retained while your account is active and for as long as the logistics company we operate the service for needs them to run and document its delivery operations.

You can delete your account directly in the app (Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account). You can also request deletion by emailing us at hello@desertacacia.com. Some delivery records may be retained where the logistics company has a legal or contractual obligation to keep them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and credentials are stored using the platform's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, encrypted preferences on Android). Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service.

Your choices

  • Location — you control location permission in your device settings. The app requests background location only to support active routes; note that declining it limits route tracking, which your company may require for dispatch.
  • Camera and photos — used only when you capture or select proof-of-delivery images, and controlled by device permissions.
  • Notifications — you can disable push notifications in your device settings.
  • Access and correction — you can edit your profile in the app, or contact us at hello@desertacacia.com to access, correct, or delete your information.

Children

Our website and apps are built for working professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the website or app after a change means the updated policy applies.
